At about 4,5k of last year’s course, there is a private nature reserve with strict protection guidelines. We are no longer allowed to run through this area. Therefore there will be a course change that affects both Nuuksio Classic and Nuuksio70 courses.
At 3,5k, the course will take a shortcut to avoid the nature reserve. The new section is about 1,5k shorter than before, meaning that all aid stations except the last one are about 1,5k earlier than in the past events.

To maintain the marathon distance at 42k, there will be a new section after about 30k. For Nuuksio70 runners, this is at 59k. This is a beautiful trail along small lakes that is estimated to be neutral or slightly slower than the earlier route.

If you have a GPS watch, we recommend storing the route to the watch. The route will be very carefully marked and you will not have to navigate yourself but in case the marking is damaged, that will give you extra confidence for staying on the right trail.
There will be a limited amount of Suunto GPS watches for testing during the race.
