Nuuksio Classic’s adult series prizes have a special flair this year. The marathon distance is the Nordic final of the Golden Trail National Series. Runners who have qualified through four qualifying events across the Nordics will compete for the Golden Ticket to the Golden Trail finals in Madeira in October. The prize is a full package with travel, accommodation, and participation to this prestigious four-day stage race.
In addition to the Golden Ticket, five best men and women in marathon and three best in the ultra distance will receive special Nuuksio Classic prizes. For some years, winners in each category have received a training stipend. This year, we will be able to increase the prize sums with Salomon’s support..
The stipend can be used to cover sports-related expenses, such as competition and training trips, coaching services, equipment purchases or participation fees. The stipend is paid against receipts. The athlete is responsible for any tax consequences of the stipend.
