Nuuksio Classic Trail Marathon and Nuuksio70 Trail Ultra are for the first time listed as qualifying races for the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc®. 42km gives two UTMB points and 70km three points. This year’s points will count for UTMB applications in 2018 and 2019.
Nuuksio Classic race courses are validated by the International Trail Running Association ITRA, and qualifying points are acknowledged by a number of events that are using ITRA points, e.g. The North Face Lavaredo Ultra Trail and Trail Verbier Saint Bernard – X-Alpine.
Nuuksio Classic is on ITRA event calendar, and results will be sent to ITRA result service. This means that the finishers of Nuuksio Classic Trail Marathon and Nuuksio70 Trail Ultra will get international ranking points.
