The winter in the Southern Finland seems to be ending shorter than ever before and it’s time to start thinking next summer and its trail runs. That means, it’s time to open Nuuksio Classic registration for 2014.
Registration starts March 9
Nuuksio Classic 2014 will take place on Saturday 6.9. Registration opens on Sunday March 9, at 18.00 Finnish time. The link will be published on the nuuksioclassic.com front page and at https://nuuksioclassic.com/registration/ where registration instructions can also be found. The maximum amount of participants agreed with Nuuksio national park authorities is 500. About 450 places will become available on Sunday the 9th. There are a few registrations from last year postponed due to health reasons and also 2013 volunteers have an option for pre-registration. In addition, we’ll keep few slots for media and partners.
We expect the race to be full quite quickly, so if you want to ensure your slot, do it right away.

Bodom Trail
We are still eagerly waiting for the confirmation from Helsinki city to our application for using the premises in Pirttimäki recreational area. As soon as we get that, we’ll spread the word in different channels and open the registration. Sings of high participation interest are in the air!
A cup of six spectacular trail races in Finland has now been published. Both Nuuksio Classic and Bodom Trail belong to the TTF. The third event of the tour that we are contributing to is PYHÄ tunturimaraton. Highly recommended if you want to see Lapland at its best. Further information can be found at
This page will collect information about trail running in Finland. It is currently only in Finnish but we’ll try to get it translated during March. For instance there’s an event calendar of trail runs in Finland and links to trail running clubs and groups.
See you on trails!
